Puff Daddy edges out Oasis sales
After a weeklong hiatus from atop the nation’s album sales charts, Puff Daddy & the Family’s “No Way Out” disc returned to No. 1. The Bad Boy/Arista Records disc’s 153,000 unit tally just barely topped the Stateside bow of “Be Here Now,” the eagerly awaited third album from English rock group Oasis.
More than 152,000 copies of the Epic Records disc were moved during the seven- day period ended Aug. 31, with less than 800 copies separating the No. 1 and No. 2 discs.
