Leader of the Yoruba Nations movement, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has warned Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State against harassing those agitating for the Yoruba nation. In a statement released on Saturday, the embattled agitator noted that Yorubas have the right to self-determination according to United Nations and African Union. According to Sunday Igboho, Yorubas have the right to wear any outfit they deem fit and engage in peaceful gatherings and rallies.

Santander UK is on YouGov’s radar for July’s Ad of the Month, having achieved the highest uplift in Ad Awareness of any brand in the UK. According to data by YouGov BrandIndex, Santander has seen a rise an 8-point rise in its Ad Awareness score - from 10% on June 27 to 18% on July 28. The increase in Ad Awareness, which measures the proportion of people who have seen an ad for a brand in the prior two weeks, coincides with multiple announcements from the bank and campaigns that made news in the past month.

A former Senate President and presidential hopeful, Anyim Pius Anyim, has revealed the biggest challenge facing the country ahead of the 2023 general elections. The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) stated that the biggest obstacle in the way of the West African country is political which includes leadership. Anyim stated that the country needs to surmount the leadership challenge in order to address other challenges such as bad economy, insecurity, inflation, lack of infrastructure and food shortage.

August 12, 2014 5:54 PM EDT Two Berlin-based artists have taken credit — and provided evidence to back up their claim — for swapping out two giant American flags over the Brooklyn Bridge earlier this summer and replacing them with all-white versions. After the flags suddenly appeared over the bridge on July 22, numerous people rushed to claim credit for the stunt. But German artists Mischa Leinkauf and Matthias Wermke have produced videos and pictures apparently taken from the Brooklyn Bridge that indicate they were, in fact, the culprits, the New York Times reports.

The two officials became trending topics in the north-central African country earlier in the week after videos, purportedly showing them engaging in intimate acts with other people, surfaced on social media.
