Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday commended Governor David Umahi for dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This was made known in a statement titled, “Progressive Reinforcement…Welcoming Chief David Nweze Umahi to the APC,” signed by the PGF Chairman and Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Bagudu.
The APC governors stated that Governor Umahi’s defection to the ruling party was long overdue.
The statement read in part, “The Progressive Governors Forum heartily welcome His Excellency, Chief David Nweze Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi State to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

On Tuesday, April 22, ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa Umar (rtd), stated that Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, is trying to turn the northern people against President Goodluck Jonathan because he allegedly encourages genocide in Nigeria.

Governor Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday presented a N214.2 billion budget to the Edo State House of Assembly, for the 2022 fiscal year. Naija News reports that the 2022 budget represented a 32.96 percent increase from the N161.1 budgeted for the year 2021.
